QR code scanner
Scan a QR code with your camera or upload an image or PDF that contains it. You will see its content before opening anything, with a warning if the link looks suspicious.
How to use QR code scanner
- Press “Scan with the camera” or upload a photo, screenshot or PDF with the code.
- Point at the code: it is read automatically.
- Check the content and, if it is a safe link, open or copy it.
Read a QR code from a screenshot or a PDF
Did someone send you a QR code on WhatsApp, or is it inside a document? You do not need a second phone: upload the image or PDF and the scanner finds and reads it, even if there are several codes on the same page.
Protection against QR code scams
Some scams stick fake QR codes over real ones to steal data or payments. Before opening a link we show you the full address and warn you if it uses an IP address, look-alike characters, a link shortener or an unencrypted connection.
